I know that's true, but there were domestic rams, goats, sheep, etc. I would simply use the exotic material in place of traditional, but want to keep the traditional construction. Hope that makes sense. Traditional and period correct, but with an exotic ram in place of domestic.

I picked up this lock at a flea market this past Saturday. I have no idea what it goes to. There are no markings except for the numbers "66" and "2" on the inside of the lock. During disassembly I broke the head on one of the screws and would like to order a replacement. I appreciate any help...

My gun club has a category in their monthly matches called "trade gun". However the only criteria for the match is as follows: 54cal or larger, smooth bore, flintlock, and no rear sight. So trade guns, fowlers, fusils, brown bess, etc, all qualify. Would prefer a rifle stock and not a straight...
