Please help to identify my first double barrel shotgun. There are no markings of any kind except for under the barrels. I have included those in one of the pics. I believe it to be an early Pedersoli or Pietta. From the date code I can see that it was made in 1980. The bore mikes out to 0.735 and it has 29 inch barrels. It came with some 11 gauge nitro cards and overshot cards, but I believe it to be a 13 gauge. Is that correct?

The main reason that I'm asking is that I need to order a range rod for this gun because the stock one is weak and fragile, and I almost broke it yesterday. I'm pretty sure I will order a 9 millimeter delrin rod, but what jag do I need? 11 gauge? 12 gauge? 13 gauge? Im needing a cleaning jag as well as a patch worm. Is there a better rod than delrin that I need to look at? Thanks for any and all insight you can give me.

I shot it yesterday afternoon with 1 1/4 ounces of #5 shot. Both 70 and 75 grains of 2ffg and 1fg. It definitely favors 70 grains of 2ffg. Will try some other weights and powder charges on the next trip, when I have time.

I just realized that this sub forum is for originals and not reproductions. Mods, if you could move this to the smoothbore sub forum, I'd appreciate it. Sorry for the hassle.
