Awesome work, the craftsmanship is incredible , but unfortunately the mechanics of the gun being a traditions really hurts things. I think you should be able to get 600-700 for it. I would highly recommend buying a few kiblers and doing the same work. With a stock like that and the good...

Before After Stripped the old poly and stain off, replaced it with a new darker stain ( it looked a lot nicer in person, with a dark cherry color). I polished the brass and now she shines. I think my franken-gun is complete, and I'm more than happy with it

Decided to refinish the stock of my flintlock. First time trying to do this. Stripped the old poly and stain, restained and am trying to decide between linseed oil and polyurethane. Here is what I got so far. Looking for feedback on what you guys think I should do and how I am doing.

You said it. I love hitting gun shows, never know what you're gonna find. I never go to them looking to buy but I bring cash Incase I see something that is a good price or I can haggle down.

Hit a gun show today. Lots of cool muzzleloaders as well as unmentionables. At one table a guy had not 1 or 2 , but 8 original Springfields dated between 1829-1864. 1 was in bad shape , 3 where "eh, looks like a used 160 year old gun" shape, and 4 where in great shape. Those 4 where so nice...

Yep , definitely looks like you could use some real bp.( That was one helluva hang fire) lol. That gun looks like way to much fun! And range trips sound painful on the shoulder with that large of a ball and powder charge!
