    Built a a hawk target from scrap wood for our 4-H black powder team. The younger kids have fun practicing with the mouse hawks!

    At the Minnesota state shoot, even though our Sr. black powder 4-H team didn't first in a single event, they still got first place! They shoot 50 yard buffalo, 25 yard bottle, 25 yard silhouette, 15 yard pistol, and hawk. Lots of fun. Some of the other counties have some very good shooters. I...

    I don't know if it was right or not, but I sprayed the round balls with brake cleaner.

    Range day with 11 yo grandson. He is learning to fire a .45 TC Hawken I picked up from a fellow member. (thanks Jim). Hopefully he will get a deer this fall.

    4-H black powder pistol practice this morning. The trapper .50 was grouping very well at 15 yards by our sr. shooter.
