What is it that pulls us into muzzle loading!

Nah nah its not that easy, you have to do some sincere penance now, the "Muzzle Loader forum Inquisition" will consider a 4 hour dancing session with a grossy overweight yet conversational "transgender" personality "the levine" to be appropriate.

What is it that pulls us into muzzle loading!

"When I was in high school I bought a Tennessee mountain rifle kit from Dixie gun works........ I think I may have had the Sam Fadala book." Here we are half a world across an ocean away from each other, yet synchronicity exists; back in the early 80's I bought a TMR from DGW and my first...

What is it that pulls us into muzzle loading!

I realised that many of our ML fraternity have much the same characteristic in that they were already influenced by the old ways as children, I certainly was. The Toy shops and Candy stores were a long drive away from where we lived, my grandparents raised me in a wonderful old farm...

    Thoughts when buying a gun

    Thoughts when buying a gun

Not so in Australia, over here the Federal court works with Templates and the woman always gets 60% plus of any property settlement; its become an industry in its own right here down under.

    Thoughts when buying a gun

I'm a wood stock man myself, I've never owned a synthetic stock in my life, I've met quite a few synthetic people though. IME good Wood has a deep primeval appeal and can be admired for inherent asthetic integrity, such qualities arent easily replaced.

Newly discovered problem with the GPR

My habit is to slip the Ramrod under my belt just behind my back on the range, and use to do the same on the hunt when game was near. Easy enough for me as my ML Rifles are no longer in Barrel than 38 ".

Newly discovered problem with the GPR

Interesting variable, I wonder if the ball leaving the Muzzle was just tipping the Jag or maybe the Patch edge was being tipped in flight while still on the Ball.

    Kit v. Factory

I can turn anything into an M60 GPMG......if you provide all the parts.

Flint works loose after multiple shots

I've been using sheet lead Flint wraps for decades on all my ML's with nary a problem, the oldest one being an early 1980s Pecatonica River TMR Kit Rifle with a LH Siler FL; sans breakages or failures.
