i have one that shoots great using round balls, i make my own,,i use pistol powder 60 grains and i can tack them at 40 yards, it is a great gun to shoot

go to cabela's they have shot,#4 #6 #71/2 #8, but you will pay $50 for a bag

not for me i rather the real chicken to eat, y'all can have it

i use pistol powder fff 70 grains works very well for hunting and practice in a 50 cal

i use 75 grains of pistol powder in my hawkens 50 cal for deer hunting, works every time

hawkens 36 cal shooting 65 grains fffg pretty flat shooting, coyotes, cats don't stand a chance

if your ball is stuck at the bottom of the barrel, remove the nipple stuff powder in the hole put the nipple back, put a cap on and fire it,,the ball will come out easy,,but make sure the ball is all the way down the barrel
