Pedersoli Rocky Mountain Hawken - question on quality: any owner of recently newly made piece here?

I can’t speak for the RMH, but I do have a Pedersoli Santa Fe Hawken(same as Missouri River Hawken) with maple stock and browned barrel. I received it in May of this year and I couldn’t be happier with fit and finish quality. It seems very durable so far having been shot quite a bit and packed...

    Pedersoli Hawken Hunter

Montana Vintage Arms in Belgrade makes a good one, it flips from a post to a globe with bead.

    Help me to decide?

I have a Pedersoli Kentucky in .45-it’s a nicely made, very good quality rifle that I never shoot anymore because of the lack of set triggers and more of a pain to clean, it also beats my face up worse than any other rifle I own. The Pedersoli-made GPR I have is a tack driver but a little heavy...

    Bear Banger

^^What he said-bear’s lungs sit very low in the chest cavity with a comparatively small heart. There’s a lot of open space in the top half of the chest cavity, any shot placed higher than center can lead to a long and potentially hazardous tracking job. I personally wouldn’t get hung up on...

Thanks for sharing that, gives me a good idea of safe powder charge.

Conical bullet recommendation for T/C Patriot.45

I recently acquired my first bp pistol, a Patriot in .45. I’ve read that they are prone to cracking the stock, and was hoping for some guidance as to what weight bullet and approximate powder charge would be a safe bet to avoid problems. Thanks!

    Pedersoli

Thanks-I should have clarified that I was looking for the 50 with 1:24 twist. I wish the 45 was faster than 1:47, I have a Pedersoli Kentucky rifle in 45 with that twist rate and can’t get the results I’m looking for especially when it’s cold outside.

    Pedersoli

I’ve been searching for a Pedersoli Missouri River Hawken for a month with no luck. IFG, the importer (or one of them at least) told me that Italy was completely shut down for around a year and has had limited production since starting back up because of supply issues. They told me to expect a...

WANTED Fast twist 50 cal barrel for T/C Hawken or GPR (Pedersoli)

That is one nice setup! I’m eager to see how far I’ll be able to shoot accurately-I can shoot out to 1400 yards from my porch so we’ll see if the laser eye surgery was worth the money haha! I’m supposed to be acquiring a prototype vernier style sight similar to the ones used on the...

I’m all for it myself-seems like a “traditional” muzzleloader season ought to be just that. Plus now I have a legitimate reason to put together more rifles and learn how to work up loads for a muzzleloader right? So far I’m really enjoying being able to test different powder charges without...

Antelope hunting is always a good time, and I really enjoy my too-infrequent walleye trips out your way.

WANTED Fast twist 50 cal barrel for T/C Hawken or GPR (Pedersoli)

Thank you-I left a message with them this morning, hoping to hear back at some point. Also tried to get ahold of Mr. Hoyt about the possibility of re-boring or lining a barrel for me but his message says not taking any orders until after March. Hoping to have him make a barrel for me when he has...

WANTED Fast twist 50 cal barrel for T/C Hawken or GPR (Pedersoli)

Hi all, looking to put together a conical shooter to play around at longer ranges with that my hunting clients could also borrow for elk if need be since our rules are more restrictive here in MT. I’ve been on the hunt for a Pedersoli Missouri River Hawken 1:24 with no luck so thought I’d see if...
