    Try this for ramrod.

    I have made ramrods from stainless and brass. Heavy, but hard to beat. I have also made short ones from aluminum arrows as well. Brass pinned my end in and extended the jag 1/2" past the barrel to grab easy in a hunting situation

    A little dawn dish soap/water mix. Brush on a long wooden rod with the cordless drill. Followed by lard patch.
