    T/C Hawken woes

I have had similar results. Funny thing us , the TC flintlock kit was a wee Bit intimidating in the early’70”s , and because of the price, I assumed it was a piece of junk. I have hunted this big heavy ole lug around the wilds of Pennsylvania for more than 47 seasons. It is probably my most...

    T/C Hawken woes

My rifle is absolutely 💯 % original. I couldn’t even imagine how much powder has gone down this barrel and made smoke over 42 some years since I built it. Well over a bakers dozen of whitetail have been harvested with this heavily used tool. I have gone through quite a few flints over time, and...

    T/C Hawken woes

I am re- reading my post, because of a new post/ reply from another member. Unfortunately I mistakenly posted my T/C as a 59 cal, when it is obviously a 50 cal. Sorry people!

So as usual, nothing personal, it’s your own fault, not the T/C to blame…..

I did look at those from Chamber’s but I think I will be going with a Cabin Creek pistol. Has anyone else tried a Cabin Creek kit

    Flintlock pistol

That’s absolutely fine. I get around a bit for a tired sick ole mule. So we’ll just keep on searching, I guess I suppose I was taking a crap shoot, people with good intentions are recommending our Italian made……… weapons…. I just can’t bring myself to buy anything imported in my weapon inventory.

    Flintlock pistol

Nice looking one, unfortunately I would never purchase an imported firearm period.

Wow haven’t heard from you in ages. Hopefully you’re doing well. Thanks will do. Even after all this time on the forum, I still contemplate what section to post a thread in! I guess I just have to settle for being forum illiterate…. Good thing I have friends like you that mentor me in direction..👍

Regrets with L and R lock for Traditions?

I am acutely aware of everyone’s need to try to stay on a budget when shopping for a decent muzzleloader. The problem is that you (in general terms) limit yourself to purchasing cheaply made imported goods. Even the popular Italian made Ml’s which people love aren’t much better and they are...

    Flintlock pistol

For some unknown reason, all of the sudden I am getting a hankering for a flintlock pistol. I have been an avid flintlock hunter since I built my first kit rifle in 1972, And have added 4 others to my collection since. I rarely hunt with my modern rifles at all anymore. Pretty much an exclusive...
