Hi Treeman, I have a Pedersoli Charelville that has the springs to remove the barel. You’re saying take the barrel off and coat with Turtle Wax and it should be good for a long time? It’s a nice shiny piece and I thought car wax might work. Would you recommend car wax on the lock plate...- EricW
