    new pedersoli problems!

I did not know that regarding fitting the nipples to caps. I've been shooting black powder for about 5 or 6 years. I'll have to look into this more.

Round Ball performance story and question

Thanks! I woulda thought there'd be a lot of bears in Tennessee. Black bears have been in strong growth for many years across Canada and the US. Hopefully you get your opportunity soon!

Round Ball performance story and question

Well guys, I got it done. Black bear down from a 490 patched round ball, pushed by 80 grains FFg. I got great terminal results. I put it behind the shoulder at about 10 yards, hunting from a self-made ground blind. He was getting a bit too close for comfort. The bear ran a short 20 yards or so...

Round Ball performance story and question

Yeah I had figured 50 would be just right for deer. Both deer I shot were in 225 to 250 pound range. The bears get bigger for sure, and I'd expect a 250-350 pound black bear this spring.

Round Ball performance story and question

I think what I've gathered is a prb should work just fine for deer if I do my job, and it has. For bear and cow elk I'll be looking to load a conical if it all shoots well out of my rifle. Thanks.

Round Ball performance story and question

Thanks for your thoughts. I agree that 100 grains may have been too much. I should spend some time behind the sights with a charge around 80 or 85 grains.

Round Ball performance story and question

Yeah I had a similar thought that year. The following year I loaded 90 instead of 100, but reading some of the feedback I might be better off with 80 or 85 grains yet. Thanks.

Round Ball performance story and question

Hey all, I'll try to keep things somewhat concise but I do need to lay down some details. Three years ago I set out for my first white-tail hunt with my Pedersoli Tryon. I had practiced with this rifle a fair bit over summer and really got familiar with its behavior and had the sights set...

Hey all, New member here from Saskatchewan. I've been shooting black powder for about 6 years or so and taken game twice with a traditional rifle. I'm always looking to learn more and conversate with like-minded folks. I'm hoping to fill a black bear tag this spring, with my Pedersoli. I...
