Advice on adding a sling to a Pedersoli brown bess carbine.

I would like to add a sling to my Pedersoli brown bess carbine. What I need to know is does the front sling bar absolutely need to go through the front barrel tennon? there is plenty room to put the swivel so it would not interfere with the rammer or block it without having to put it through the...

Impressions after shooting the brown bess carbne.

Impressions after shooting the brown bess carbne.

I have found this musket very pleasent to shoot once I compleated the build. As you can see here I was able to keep all 4 shots of my group on a torso sized target at 30 yards. Pedersoli brown bess carbine.

Needed a solid smoothbore to hunt with so I bought a brown bess carbine second hand. I could have bought a pedersoli indian trade musket but I figured that since pedersoli no longer makes the trade musket I may be a little screwed if a spring lost its power frizzen worn out etc whereas there are...

    Flintlock Traditions kentucky pistol mods.

Yeah it looks like most of them have just enough wood to meet the face of the lock plate and do not have that big flat area there like mine does.

    Flintlock Traditions kentucky pistol mods.

Hello guys. looking for ideas of ways I could mod my traditions pistol to look a little more correct. I am thinking of slimming down the overall profile a bit and if possible fixing the ugly birds head grip. If any of you other guys have done something like this I would like to see pics.

    Brown Bess question

The ''north west trade gun'' that Pedersoli makes looks more like a type G or a carolina gun without the brass sheet trigger guard.
