I didn't post any such photo.

    Missing the underbarrel mounted chainsaw.

I never said red dot or reflex anywhere.

Telescopes aren't exactly newfangled. Hell, they had them in the Civil War, I think.

    Question Regarding Powder

As I'm sure many of you are aware, certain elements burn a certain color. Copper, for instance, burns green. Do you guys reckon it would be possible to add trace amounts of copper to the black powder to make the muzzle flash a greenish color? Or better yet, maybe someone on here is brave/foolish...

Well, you know, for the steampunk look. Like a cut down version of pic related.

    Ruger Old Army(s)

Gotta keep your head on a swivel, these days. Lightning can strike at any place. At any time.

    Brass Frame 1851s

Man, sounds pretty good to me. When I tried explaining to my doctor that I'd graduated from beer to hard liquor (in 80 proof) he was NOT impressed.

    Dumb Idea, Because Why Not?

Fellas, how feasible do you think it would be to fix a scope to a Colt 1851? Has anyone done it yet? I reckon you'd need some sort of hexagonal clamp, with the front of it having a small hole that fits right over the front sight to prevent movement forward and backward. You could probably make...

    Brass Frame 1851s

    Is this condition treatable?

    Brass Frame 1851s

Wow! So the Confederates did actually make brass frame revolvers? I heard a lot of back and forth on the matter with some people insisting it's an anachronism. Very interesting. Really regret not getting some Civil War memorabilia before moving. Still keep my rebel flag in the garage, though. Oh...

    Brass Frame 1851s

Wow! Already learned something new. Thanks, I'll try the 2F instead of the 3F.

    Brass Frame 1851s

Is there a benefit to using 3F instead? I thought of getting a Walker, initially, since I have experience shooting a proper .357. But it's quite expensive. Maybe one day.

    Brass Frame 1851s

Very interesting. I wonder, then, what the best option for a brass frame would be.

    Brass Frame 1851s

What difference does shooting 2F or 3F make? Sounds like I may want to get one of those loading stands like Ced and Flint Fellow suggested.

    Brass Frame 1851s

Thank you both so much. I'll be sure to give this a look. What are your guys' thoughts on conicals?

    Brass Frame 1851s

Very informative, thank you. I wasn't sure which ball to choose. I heard that .451 is liable to not seat very snugly in the chamber, and that the oversized nature of the .454 or .457 is good for safety and performance, just that they require more muscle to squeeze into the chamber. I don't plan...

    Brass Frame 1851s

I'm sure we've had a million threads on this topic, so I figure one more won't break the camel's back. I recently got into BP shooting, and got myself a Colt 1851 Navy Reb Deluxe because it looked cool. I'm aware that the general opinion is that the brass frame is liable to shoot loose, as...
