The only sound we cold hear were the raindrops and the falling leafs. It was almost bright 7/30 when Johanna looked to the right and growled: A...

What game do you hunt? Especially for members in other nations.

Because the German hunting law doesn´t say anything about MLs (I hope it will stay so for my livetime) we can hunt every game. I got since 2007, rabbit, dove, fox, roe deer, fallow deer und wild boar.

    Carrying Shot

Because I´m a lazy man, I use homemade speedloaders made from 12gauge plastictubes. One end is closed by a wooden plug. Then i fill 70grain wanoPP, 4 soft cardboard wads, 1oz shot in a strong paper schotcup and close it with 2 cardboard wads. Charging is verry simpel: Pull the plug and pour the...

    Ball or conical

I shot two roes last week with .54 PRB and 90grain WanoPP, the first one at 43m shoulder-spine with exit, yesterday the second at 15-20m, heartshot and the bullet stopped at the opposite hide. I would have expected the opposite result.

    Old eye's-Iron sights

Hi Doc, I had this problem with my Mauser, the original sigths are too slow for fast shots, so I soldered a washer on the rear and a brass pearl on the frontsight: Perfect for midrange shots up to 70m.

    I missed

Really missed?! last week I thought to have missed a Fox (at 70m with my Swedish Mauser, though it was rather dark, I could aim good with the scope. I found nothing at the place, no bloodtrail, no wool. I searched 1 houer and found him 40m away with a good shot in the lung. Same story with a...

Sow and Fox down at Germany

The fence you see belongs to a fenced area with fallow, red deer and muffle. If they come out we try to get them:-) Pigs have no problem lifting the fence and follow their traditional path. The wheatfield was fenced whit 3 lines of electric wire, but if the Wheat gets sweet they dont care...

    Garage selling Dragoon.

Hey Joe, I got the same pistol at e-gun last week, they could be twins! I don´t think that they are only wallhangers because the barrel is polished inside and the frizzen is hardened, but the inside of the lock is terrible, just good enough to let some balls loll downrange for fun (and to...
