“Waterproofing” your lock

Is there a color you recommend?

Will it work as a bullet lube too?

Bright colors work best so you can see where you laid it down at.
I dont color my BP lube.

Just use lube... you can just about swim with your rifle rigged this way.

someone used to do a demo at dixons faire dunking a flintlock in a bucket of water ,pulled it out and fired the pan of powder. dont recall who it was or what they did to it.

A cows knee won't stop water from running along the barrel channel, and right into the pan.
