Not to throw a monkey wrench into this thread cuz its a good one, and one that i feel very comfortable with responding to! I shoot a 54cal T/C Renegade, in fact it was my most accurate rifle and it prompted me to sell three of my other rifles, kinda the whole beware of the man with one gun rule :grin: I shoot 85gr ffg Triple7, an over the powder bore button, and a Mink tallow lubed .018 pillow ticking patch with a .530 ball! Its coffin dead on anything out to 100yds! i believe that the bore button, or maybe the hotter powder i use must seal the bore better or something cuz a buddy of mine shooting the same gun with plain 'ol BP gets horrible results with his, but when we load my combo in his gun its money! Food for thought i guess :wink:
 
I cant believe how far this thread has come. Since i first posted it i have bought a lyman gpr with 1:60 twist and shot 120 rounds through it lol. Still good info though. :hatsoff:
