I have a T/C Hawken with a Bill Large 45 caliber, 1 in 48 twist barrel. I would like to try a Lee R.E.A.L
bullet in it. Which would work best, the 200 grain or the 250 grain? I would prefer the 250 grain if
it would stabilize in the 48 twist.
Thanks
Rich

If you’re deciding which to buy and try first, start with the lighter/ shorter one. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they perform nearly identically tho in practical terms and practical distances.
Edit: since your preference is for the heavier one, you could probably just load them up and never know any better, as they say. It’ll probably group just fine.

Does fine in my 50. Small one did ok in my 45 but not great, like it was on the edge of stability but it has a 1-66 twist. I didn't know back then but allot of people use an over powder wad and say it helps allot, especially with heavier charges. I'd say it would work but that's just an educated guess. If you ask, someone here might have a few they could send you to try.
