1:49 twist .54 Hawken barrel
Welcome to the forum from North Carolina.

As suggested above, you would do better posting this as a wanted item in the classified. You could ask one of the moderators to move this thread.

You may also what to provide a little more information on what you want/need. For example, are you looking for a replacement for an exiting 54 caliber barrel, or do you want to get a barrel to use in an existing TC Hawken stock? TC made their Hawken with two different barrel sizes, 15/16” and 1” across the flats. If you are looking for barrel because the one you have has a bad bore, you may want to consider a rebore.

OK, thank you I agree. Why I am looking for a new barrel is just the fact that too many loads have been fired through it. 35 years. I do stainless steel the bore until it is sooo shiny, but, it still fouls after about 2 shots. Thought a new barrel might help

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of lube are you using? It may be as simple as trying a different lube. Spit patch works well as does deer tallow and olive oil, or mink oil. I have shot over 100 balls in a day, and only swabbed 3 or 4 times.

What are you using for a lube ? After having same issue with my thompsons i started usuing moose milk. Now i get 15 -20 shots without any fouling

If I shoot round ball I usually just use TC bore cleaner as a lube. Also shoot Buffalo Bullets pre lubed

It may be as simple as using olive oil for a patch lube. If you are shooting the old buffalo bullets, the lube they had on them is more like a glue and should be removed and replaced. Crisco would be better if nothing else is available.

First thing I'd do is throw away whatever 'stainless steel' you're using and quit the obsessive-compulsive cleaning. Then I'd experiment with different patch/lube/projectile combos til I found what worked best.

My opinion and you're welcome to it.

Thank you Blue mule, I certainly will try that. I never really gave it much consideration, and to Bubba, my barrel had fouling issues having not been cleaned right away. I only used the stainless steel to remove the fouling. It did do a nice job of cleaning up the barrel, Mainly after a day of shooting it soaks in a HOT bath tub with dish soap. Then of course swabbed. Appreciate all suggestions
