Your gonna like that gun.
I bought a Pedersoli Frontier in .50cal. with the grade 5 maple and she is a SWEEEETY.
I enlarged the touch hole to 5/64, and shot about 500 rounds through her all the while filing sights and changing powder loads.
I shoot Goex 3F for the main charge and use the same thing for priming. In close to 900-1000 rounds, have had only a dozen misfires, mostly because I wanted to see how fouled the gun had to get so she would'nt fire.
Have a blast with it.
enjoy the pun also.

I decided go back out shooting again, and do a T.T.D. (test to destruction) just to see how my flint would last. I shot another 25 times that's when my set-trigger went south. When I got home and took it apart to clean it I found the "set-trigger springs retention screw" had backed itself out, other than that I would rate the Pedersoli frontier rifle as a high-quality gun.

This Flintlock is the first one I've ever purchased new, all the other flintlocks I've had came from trades, I would shoot them a few times and then trade them off, I believe I'll keep this one.

No misfires yet with 60 shots .:applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:
