Had a marvelous time pheasant hunting with a buddy & his wife last Thursday. It was her first time hunting, so she used her 11-87 (and did well). Of particular note to those of this forum is that the other two members of the hunting party both used Pedersoli 10 ga. SxS cap guns. I used a load of 80 grains of 3Fg Goex, a saturated 10 ga. lubed Ox-Yoke wonder-wad, .125 OP card, buffered shot wad, 1.75 oz. #6 lead shot & (2) OS cards. Working with a pointer, we were able to fold birds w/o a problem. My buddy used 90 grains of single F, OP card, lubed buffered shot wad, about the same amount of #6 shot & OS cards. First time I ever hunted with another Muzzleloader in my hunting party. Man, was it FUN! Guy who owns the Preserve told he he thought he heard cannon fire, lol! A GREAT time was had by all!

:hatsoff:

I was the other member of the party. Sorry it took so long, to load the pictures. Had a great time. Muzzleloader made it even more fun. I was using 1.5 oz of #6's though. It almost works out equal equal with the 90gr of goex F.

Thanks Rob! I "unloaded" the mighty 10 yesterday at Old Bridge. Found some guys tossing some clays into the air, so let them shoot the 10, with me standing off to the side. One of the shots was a "dusted" bird at over 20 yards, so I think I'll just leave my current load work-up as is, lol!

Thanks again so much for the invite!

Dave
