Hey guys, just thought I would share a pic of a dagger my son made. I helped him cut the steel with the grinder and set up a jig so he could grind the bevels. I drilled the holes in the handle and guard and he filed it to fit the tang. Heat treat was done in my gas forge under my watchful eye. He's got a whole lot more talent than I did at his age. I helped him with the pattern of the sheath( a bit rough) and he stitched it with copper wire.

 
Very good workmanship :thumbsup: There is a lot of talent there. Maybe he will be come another Bill Scagel or a Bo Randall?
 
great hand skills! (by the way, you may want to get him some safety glasses when he's on the lathe)

nice to see a kid away from the i- pad self absorbed, selfie stick thing and actually making something!
