yes sir. after the shot all that excitement. trying to wait it out not rushing down there where you made the shot. that feeling u get when u walk down there and see the red on the ground.its a feeling that is beyond words. congrats to you sir and thank you for the pics and sharing that feeling u felt. I'm smiling now because I know what u felt
 
First ever deer with a firearm, couldn't be happier to do it with black powder.

Congrats. Well done, sir. Not on just getting the deer, but on a good purchase as well. That deer, if properly field dresses and if the meat was properly taken care of, should make some fine eating.

Were you shooting a round ball or conical?

Those cheap old CVA's are not the highest quality, but they are darn good shooters. My wife happens to have one.

Thank you! She's already packed neatly in the freezer, had some of the meat for dinner last night.

Roundballs, as far as I can tell this one has the slow twist barrel but I haven't measured it. Shoots them accurately so no need to change I think.

I might strip it down and make it prettier over winter I like it so much 😂
