Looks like you have a 50 yard rifle load...
I wouldn't expect better than 4" @ 100 yards with it.
Looking forward to your final load work up results.

Since your staying in period mode...have you considered using leather or deer hide patches or op wads?
I have read historical accounts of hide patching.
I'm thinking deer tallow-bear grease lube also.
Sounds like a fun goal.

I have a .36 flinter that requires .015 patches but unless I use an over powder wad the patches get burn through. I tried a lot of things and found that a cotton ball worked great the only problem was that I kept causing brush fires at the range where I was testing. So I settled for felt wads instead and they worked well also.

If I could find something to soak those cotton balls in that was fire retardant I would go back to using them.

Solutions of alum and solutions of borax and/or boric acid have been used as fire-retardant treatments for wood and cloth, so they'd probably work for this. A web search for "flame retardant" and the name of the ingredient will turn up the specifics.
