I bought 3 tins of 100 CCI #11's from Academy in Huntsville, AL last week and 1 whole tin seems to be full of duds - well at least the first 5 in a row are. The other 2 tins all have gone bang so far. All 3 are lot number G21D301.
Update FYI: After a range day, about 3 out of 10 from the other 2 tins were duds. The ones that fired left globs of wax in the nipple. I'm just throwing them all in the garbage.

Seems like everyone has them in stock till you walk in the store front.
I don't know how long this under supply will last but,
if you need caps and can't find them buy the prime all kit.
If you don't want to pay the high price buy the prime all kit.
If you just want peace of mind knowing you have primers until you find the next tin of primers buy the prime all kit.

I heard you can use small pistol or small rifle primers instead of 3 11 caps ? what say ye ?
I've heard of people removing the projectile and powder from 22 rimfire cartridges and cutting down the casing and using those successfully. The sad fact is you I can actually find 22 ammo cheaper per unit than caps right now!

Exactly what I did today.

Update #2: Cabela's in Huntsville AL had Remington #11's in stock last week, so I bought 2 tins. Shot about 25 prb's today and every one went bang. I'm avoiding CCI's for a while till they sort it out.

I have been experiencing same issue with CCI idk if there really old stock or poor quality in manufacturing

CCI used to be the best caps out there, IMHO. Maybe due to increased demand their QC has slipped. The "Sutler"has caps, powder, flints, etc at every monthly match here locally. If you want to try a F2F buy look for a muzzleloader club and go to a match.

I've had good luck ordering from Midway USA for decades. I caught a flash sale on there where they lowered the hazmat a few years ago and stocked up on CCI caps.

I recall the first caps I bought was in 1980. They were Remington and cost 99 cents a tin! About 20% didn't go bang, but that was the allure of shooting muzzleloaders.

Im convinced hoarders/preppers/doomsday advocates are driving the price of EVERYTHING gun related up.
$15.00 a tin gives me heart palpitations... lol.

I'm certain hoarders are partly at fault for some of the shortages and price hikes, along with supply chain difficulties for everything from copper to chemicals.
