Hello, I'm here today to research a flintlock I bought as an antique, the most I've been able to find out is that it's probably Turkish.thanks!

Hmm, I think you're right. I'm not the best on identifying locks anyways :doh: . Here's a better picture

Looks to be Arab, Miquelet locked is the stock coverd in sheet brass? no provision for a rammer under barrel right?
 
Hi Camelrider. What you have is an Albanian miquelet lock pistol circa late 18th - mid 19th Century. Commonly called a Rat Tail pistol. Unfortunately your's has a broken butt stock and probably missing it's trigger guard (some were made without guards). They have wood stocks sheathed in brass. These pistols were made in large quantities under contract for the Ottoman Empire. Here are some photos of the pistol if complete. Thanks for Posting.
