Hello ALL. Still trying to thin the herd. Yet another I hate selling.
PISTOL: Queen Ann Period British Horse Pistol. Built from The Rifle Shop Kit #811. Builder unknown.
LOCK: Early banana shaped lock plate uses three screws. No bridle. Center of lock plate marked AR with the British Crown above it. Tail of lock plate marked: Sidley. Lock functions well and sparks excellent. Looks to be unused. Just test sparked.
STOCK: Appears to be walnut. But I'm not good at ID-ing wood. A super nice antique type finish that looks great. A couple tiny handling marks at the grip, which look intentional since they were not removed before adding the stain. No chips, mars, cracks, etc. Basically new condition.
BARREL: 14" long by .62 smooth bore. Three-stage octagon tapering to multi-faceted to round. An antique type finish. Bore appears to be unfired and like new. I'm confident this gun has never been fired.
HARDWARE: All brass. Both sides of the butt cap are engraved with the AR. Antique type finish applied to the brass.
COMMENT: The only tiny issue is the tapered ramrod is loose in the stock. The iron tip is also loose from the rod and was never glued. I didn't glue the tip so it could be used with a new rod. Easy job. This pistol looks close to an original. Would be very rare to find another.
PRICE: $750.00 - shipped to the lower 48 states. Feel free to ask any questions. And thanks for looking. Rick.
