Hi, I have an 1840 marked Johnson 1836 percussion pistol for sale. Pics speak for themselves. Metal is in fine condition with slight patina. Hammer has minor pitting. Wood has some minor dings but no cracks and cartouches are beautiful. I have never fired this but it is fully functional and half and full **** work fine. I don't know much about these - I'm more of a modern firearm guy but this is in better shape than anything I've seen online. I'd prefer cash but I'm willing to do a trade deal for a custom, shootable Kentucky style rifle I can hunt with. Don't be afraid to make an offer. Thanks!

Hi it's .54 caliber and I'm looking to get $850. The wood is beautiful and every one I've seen online is cracked and with markings that are non visible.

I would also be willing to do a trade plus cash on my end for a shootable, huntable, custom made .40 caliber Kentucky style flinter.

The pistol appears to be a Robert Johnson 1836 design built in 1840. It most likely is a conversion from a flintlock. Last one I know of brought $750 at auction. It was in a little better condition but not a lot better. That was a couple of years ago. Nice handgun.
