One of my winter projects is fixing up a C&B pistol I picked up. It is stamped Euroarms Brescia on the barrel. date stamp is XXVI
But I came across a peculiar stamp on the brass grip frame that is partially wore away. It looks like a circle with a double barrel shotgun muzzle in it over the letters " MAV-----" There is a verticle line after the "V" like an I or part of an "E" but the rest is wore off.

I bought the gun because it allegedly had been tuned by a gun smith for target shooting. Indeed, it has a light crisp trigger pull with no travel. The trigger and action are very slick.

The gun was dry fired a lot and the nipples are smashed beyond use. Right now the cylinder is soaking in machine oil before I attempt to remove the nipples.

The MAV----, possibly an importer stamp. MAVERICK perhaps?

I'll post a picture as soon as I am able.
