I am restoring a 1851 Navy .36 cal.. I only received 4 backstrap screws with this firearm. How do I find out who made this unit? There is "PN" stamped on the barrel, cylinder and frame. I tried a Uberti screw set, but all the screws were too big. I would appreciate any help in identifying the mfg. in order to purchase the correct screw set.

A call to Dixie or TOW might get the pistols maske and that has to be the first step. Good Luck! Geo. T.

Track of the wolves. I have done business and they are both great. TOW may have better phone folks but that may be luck of the draw. Both have goos sites. Again good luck. Geo. T.

Somewhere throughout the years, Uberti switched thread pitch & screw sizes, as well as parts dimensions for some of their revolvers.

New Ubertis look to have SAE threads (1860 Army anyway), while the older are definitely smaller diameter, finer pitch metric screws. I got some parts for my 35 year old Uberti 1860 Colt, which are intended for current production models & the parts fit wasn't even close; neither was the screw sizes.

You will need to specify manufacture year of your revolver to get the proper screws, otherwise you may get parts as I did, that needed to be returned.

Check also with VTIgunparts.com & see if they have any of the older parts.
