my friend has offered me a pair of colt 1860 pistols for 200 bucks. they are in very nice shape. i would also get a shoulder stock, holsters, 3 spare cylinders, and a flask w/spout. sound like a good deal? one is a richland arms and the other is a pietta. the richland has a fluted cylinder.

Sounds like a REAL good deal. If you don't want rhem both i'll take one. With the shoulder stock and extras you can not go wrong. Better by them before someone else does.

thanks for the offer rebel, i think i'll take 'em both. hes a good friend and we swap a lot of guns. i traded him an enfield bolt gun for a cva shotgun tonight.

he gave me seven plastic totes of reloading equipment to sell for him too. hes financing another motorcycle. he dumped a pair of 51 navies for 200 and a nice garand for 400. also sold a persian mauser and a ishapor for 100 apiece. he had a busy afternoon.

he wants me to handle selling the stuff for him. only problem is as i take each item out of the boxs, it goes into the pile of stuff that i want. just called him a few minutes ago and told him i wanted ALL his lead melting equipment and about a dozen moulds. i'm also keeping a m39 sako manufactured mosin-nagant. too good shape to let go.

30 years of accumulated bp and other good stuff. i hate to see him get out of it. :(

He must want a bike bad. I was that way when i was younger. I would trade or sell off whatever it took to get a bike when i was without one. Too old for that now.

That's true. I could never manage to ride more than one at a time either. And he can't carry many MLers on them. Just to try to keep this on topic.

Not sure, but i think they were just the Importer. I'm sure someone here knows for sure. Still be a good deal. I like the cal. of the '60 Armies but the feel of the '51 Navies.

That's why I chose the .36 cal.'51 Navy over the '60 Army in .44. The feel of the '51 was just too good to pass up. I can get the Army model later though, because he isn't advertising it for sale, and it's definitely the next purchase on my list...

as ever,
Dr. X

I'd keep the M39 under wraps, as well--they are all gone in Finland and the prices are going up. Not to mention they're great rifles.
