Well, i guess it's a personal thing. but i wouldn't want one. It just looks out of balance with that short of a barrel on it. Wouldn't think it would you much in the way of velocity or accuracy. I do like their 1862 Army Police .36 cal with the 5 1/2" barrel. I had one and it was the only BP revolver i ever owned that acctually shot where you aimed it. But i messed up and got rid of it. Still regret that.

Years ago I had a gun like this. I made it from a damaged
gun that I picked up for small money. It came with no grips or grip frames so I used some old Navy size frames and made up some grips to fit. I think it wound up with a four inch barrel and no rammer. It was a typical belly gun, pretty much useless beyond 10 yards or so, but it did make a nice muzzle flash and a lot of smoke. At card table distance, it would have been a terror.

I was thinking about getting one, too, but I happened to come across a great deal on a 2nd Model Dragoon.

I do like the way it looks though.

Hello gun runner,I have been looking at one aswell.I was considering the .36 cal. snub however since the .44 would have a tad more poke I will give this the nod.I have an 1860 army from Cabelas w/the full length barrel which shoots very well, this would be a 6 shot derringer!
