Yup! I have over 15 of them.
They are all different and I'm still looking for a few that I don't have like a 1st and 2nd Model Dragoon.

"Why do you want more of those old guns?" says my wife.
"Because I don't have them" says I. :grin:

Yep, yep and yep. :)
Of course i had to disasemble it and smooth everything up soon as i got home.
Especially the bolt, can`t stand it when they make marks and a bad ring around the cylinder.
Few years back i had a 51 and a dragoon made by Colt, late models, shouldn`t of sold them. :(
I love these old revolvers. :)
Thanks gents.

I just ordered one today from Cabelas.
Except mine cost over $600.00 :(
$164.00 for the revolver. And $450.00 for my Wifes new gold ring and bracelet.

I understand, my wife had to get a new saddle, o well guess it`s all part of the scheme of things. :hmm:

Too those that own one of these colts does your gun have three clicks or four when cocking it.
Every one i`ve handled of late including this one has three. Seems like we used to tune the bolt arm until it had four clicks.
Thoughts?

You know, I've always heard about the four clicks, and how it spells, c-o-l-t . But I've put my colt repros to the test, and every time it is three clicks. U-S-A .

Good one :thumbsup: I went through mine and polished everything up and she`s smooth as a babys butt with three clear clicks so now that i know what they stand for i`ll leave well enough alone. Thanks.

First click: trigger on half-cock step;
second click: trigger on full cock step;
third click: bolt snaps into cylinder locking slot

Not sure where the fourth click comes in?

My Sig. series only clicks twice (second and third clicks simultaneous), so who knows? :hmm:

First click- trigger on half cock.
Second click, should be bolt snapping up against cylinder.
Third click- bolt going into cylinder notch.
Fourth click- hammer in full cock.

Maybe i`m thinking about the SSA, been quite a spell since we messed with them.

I've got 3 that have 4 clicks...they match that lil tune from the pocket watch in The Good the Bad and the Ugly. :grin:

But they ain't Colts.

Yepper, ole Eastwood and Van Cleaf(sp) carried a few of each of them, Colts and Rems. :thumbsup:

Be nice - I am not well versed in these things, but could it be the hand slipping back over the ratchet on the back of the cylinder? :confused:

Not sure that really makes any noise... and the bolt clicking down onto the cylinder then dragging back into the bolt stop before the full cock step sounds like a recipe for a marked cylinder? :hmm: Alright, all you gunsmithing experts out there. Just how should it go? 3 or four clicks? Bolt or full cock first? Inquiring minds want to know! :confused:
