Took the colt out today and put 18 rounds through it. Found it very difficult to load with my arthritic sore and somewhat unresponsive fingers. The grip is also really weird feeling. Right hand can't safely feel the trigger and the left hand the trigger feels really stiff. No win either hand. Probably not going to shoot BP revolvers much in the future. They are sure nice to look at though. At 20 paces I used the whole 18X24 inch blank target. My handgun marksmanship has severely diminished. I still seem to be ok with rifles shooting left handed. Some parts of getting old really sucks.

Shoot from a bench. If you have nieces or nephews or grandkids, have em come out and load it for you. No matter what, don't stop shootin 🍻

Agree with smoke. Teach the young ones to make paper cartridges for you. They may learn to enjoy the hobby with you. No retreat, no surrender.
