I purchased this little gem and I must say it is a nice little gun. It is a CVA 1861 Colt Pocket Police in .36cal. Can't wait to make some smoke with it.

Photobucket was acting up.

Glad you like it. It shoots good with a whole chamber full of Pyrodex P and a .375 rd ball. Never tried anything else so it may do better with a different load.

I am going to use Goex. I am saving the pyrodex for other uses. Got some .375 Round balls on the way. Crows and other garden destroying critters beware!!

that is one of those that C.V.A tryed to re-call but couldnt find all of them send it to me and ill contact C.V.A and see about getting your settelment on it i think they were offering a 30.00dollar reward soon as i get the pistol and con c.v.a. i send the money they offered.

I have one and just love it. I have small hands and it fits it like a glove. I use it in my civil war reenacting also. Liked it so much I bought a kit from the posible shop and am working on it. That way I have a pair of them.

I have one I bought for Dixie many years ago, but steel frame. Probably the second most accurate Colt replica I have. Believe that's because the diameter of the cylinder bores are just a tad larger than the barrel bore (groove-to-groove). Supposedly the original Colts were made that way. Anyway, liked it's accuracy so much I put a blade front sight on it. Did use .375 balls, but can't recall how much 3FG I used, should write this stuff down 'cause I can never remember if I don't shoot it weekly.

I have the same memory problems as you. I usually just forget to write things down so I don't forget them!

I finally took this little fella out to shoot with the 1860. Although not very accurate right now it was fun to shoot. Shoots a little high but the milk jug it killed did not like it!
