Hi all,
As some may recall, I started a thread back in Oct. regarding the rare 2-groove .70 cal Brunswick rifle kit that I have been Patiently waiting on from the Rifle shop.
It just showed up 11 months after placing the order... !!(pretty much)
I must say that I honestly can't complain much about the wait because they are the only outfit on the planet who even offer such a reproduction piece.
It's a rather rough kit very much like the Pedersoli Bess that I built a decade ago but slightly even more so. The stock has 3 square blocks of wood still attatched...all brass is directly from the mold...all metal is nice... bead blasted even and needs only a quick polish. All is very organized and individually zip locked with a detailed checklist to ensure components haven't been left out.
The lock looks great and I'm glad that I paid the extra to have them assemble it.
All I'm missing is the unique 2-groove barrel but I certainly have plenty to keep me busy for a bit.
Here are some images of the goods and I'll gladly post more (detailed) images upon request if anyone would like.
(All parts not shown)
My original Brunswick lock for reference
Some parts of the mechinism are a bit different I assume because the kit was modeled after an original British made piece and my original was an India made contract weapon
