I have heard, repeatedly, that "certain" powders, require 20% more, by volume, to get the same results as commercial powder. No problem in a long gun, but what about cap-n-ball revolvers. Will revolver champers hold 20% more. I have not yet tried any, nor have I tested a chamber to see if a load 20% larger will leave room for a projectile (round balls are all I use). Thanks.
 
I myself haven't heard that but I do recall reading on a label of 777 that I do believe they say to reduce the charge 20% by volume for an equal amount of other muzzle loading propellants.

Is this possibly what you're referring to?

No but the same question would apply.
