I plan on making this event come hell or high water. anyone got any registration info, event tip, or even any event critiques?
It's a heck of a commute from the UP, but If it's a good event, it'll be worth the drive.
 
Hey Skagun, do a search on Prickett's Fort state Park and they should have the info on their website, or try a copy of Smoke & Fire. It will be worth the trip. It is my understanding that Wallace Gussler will be the keynote speaker this year. The Saturday night feast alone is worth the trip not to mention that Prickett's is one COOL 18th century site.

2006 School of the Longhunter

The Pricketts Fort Memorial Foundation invites you to attend a weekend encampment with seminars on longhunter skills designed for the 18th century interpreter, re-enactor or history enthusiast April 6-9, 2006. This year’s program features keynote speaker Wallace Gusler who is a Master Gunsmith at Colonial Williamsburg. Additional sessions will be offered throughout the three day event. As usual, participants will enjoy a fort feast, benefit auction, contests, music and more. School of the Longhunter is limited to the first 100 registrants.
