 This year I have been invited to hunt the first week of firearms deer season in the U.P. I will be at a rustic camp near Republic, Mi. No electric, everything propane powered. Have bowhunted there but got no deer. The area is heavily wooded with some open areas, plenty of Deer food. Am thinking of taking both my flint lock and percussion rifles.
Some cutting was done a few years ago and there is now an access road to all areas so I can ride my Quad. Due to auto accident in 2008 I am unable to walk a long distance so the quad will enable me to get within 100 yards of a blind. Wish me luck.
