Flintlock or Percussion rifle?

I have taken many with my MK85 54cal 80grs of Pyrodex using round ball, sabot or REAL Bollits.

I quit using the MK85 and have tried many times with my TC 50cal Flintlock with 90grs GOEX FFF and a round ball.

The only deer we seen in range I let my Dad have the first shot.
He hammered a nice doe at 117yrds with his MK85 first deer I seen him drop.
He has taken 4 total durring Black Powder season over many years.
I was very happy for him then the work started.
4 hours later we had it all processed and in the freezer.

I hunted the 1st day with my .52 flint smoothie
but the 2nd day I expected a possible chance at a long shot so took a .50 remodeled Renegade and ended up with a 30 yd. shot, wish i'd had my smoothie.
