I was hunting over a scrape and a buck came over the ridge, came running down right to the middle of the scrape, and started doing his buck thang, thrashing overhead bush limb with his antlers, urinating, etc. BANG he crumpled up and fell straight down like a sack of hammers without taking a step.

When I field dressed him I noticed he was packed with corn from his gullet to his bung hole. Stuffed full of corn. When we got him back and hung him up at the camp, we noticed how clean and fat he was. No offensive odor, not a tick on him, heck, his hooves looked polished. General consensus was I shot somebody's pet deer. Must have got all horny and jumped the fence at a nearby farm looking for a girlfriend. Bad decision on his part.
I'm glad he got all dressed up for the occasion 🤣

It would really stink. If I got a trophy like that. A monster

How do you hide the cameras use? They going to check if you used one.

It's already registered to me.. I'm not getting the trophy records.
Just my opinion here, and I don't mean to be offensive, but if you hunt just to shoot a big buck, and are worried about someone knowing you use game cameras, you may wanna reevaluate why you hunt. Are you doing it for you, or "them"?

Good question.

I enjoy everything hunting fishing.... even when it was years I never seen a deer.

8pt from here id be happy. It would get mounted.

It's just fun. I enjoy it.

I'm for allot. I'm for baiting during the season but we can't.

I like deer drives.

I like dogs

All where its legal.

If somtin funny is going on I don't enjoy it. Scared the whole time.

I let a few people hunt on my 80 acres and the rules are simple, no poaching, and lock the gate behind them when they enter the property. I can't stop the game wardens from coming onto the property but I don't have to make it easy for them....;)

Good one.

Sharing doe tag.

You know if you don't have one and I do and you get one and I tag it.. if your together and all.

Here we have zones cut up like a pizza. If you have a buddy. you both apply for different zones. Get you 2 slices of pizza here to hunt.

I have that deal with my buddy we each apply different zone we hunt together. We have yet to get to tag eachother a deer.. so I don't know.

@andy52 I've got 78 acres with totally opposite problems. I had poachers and garbage dumpers running in and out willy nilly, mudding in the creek and cutting doughnuts and cutting trees down. I put up a gate and I'm giving the key to no one until I can get control of this. Call me rat if you want, but I've called the game warden to try to help me out. What would you do? It's my land, I want to hunt it and get a deer, not let every Tom, Dick and Harry roll in with their monster truck and shoot bucks out the window, leave the stinking gut piles in the middle of the road, and throw their beer cans and old tires and mattresses out everywhere.

That sucks Hammer. Put up some cameras, get photos and take them to the sheriff. Trespassing is a prosecutable offense.

Am I missing something? Are cameras not legal where you hunt? Biggest problems I have here are some 🤬 decided to steal them from time to time, so I quit putting them out.

Also set a 📷 to watch a camera. Bait them.

Make one camera bait for them to try to take down.

Also put the posted sigh as bait. They will try to take those down. So those are bait.

Wood pile is also good bait.

But you need a truck parked there.

Warden.

Sounds like you need a warden.

Maybe if you get some proof. You can get somtin parked out there to scare them.

If it's new people all the time.

If it's one group. The cameras should do it.

Scare them hah. We're talking Neanderthals here. These people look like Humongous's crew from the Road Warrior movie. I'm ashamed to say I suspect some of them are my own family.

Your land your rules but once the rules are set you have to be willing to enforce them.
