24 gauge smooth rifle

What would be a good squirrel shot load for a 24 gauge smooth rifle

55grns volume powder, card/cushion, 55-60grn volume of shot and top card..

i had #7.5 shot available when I last squirrel hunted with the 24 gauge smooth barrel on my Muley..

That will get you started and pattern it, of course! but you should be able to see if you need to play a bit more to tweak the load some?

I tried that load and it was ok but l worked up to 50 grain ffg and two over shot cards 75 gr # 5 shot and a over shot card on top of that and got a pattern that’s was good for squirrel to 25 yards witch is 5 pieces of shot in a 4 in circle
