I have a bench rest 24-lb .45 caliber flintlock that I would like to learn more about. The barrel is 41-inches long and 1.44 between flats.
On the barrel is the name H.D. Binkley. I can find no name or markings on the lock. It has a nice hunting scene of a young man and two dogs. The butt plate is brass with nice engravings on the top side. The lock works giving a bunch of sparks. I've had it for several years and for some reason I believe it might have been built in the UK. The stock looks a lot like English walnut. The gun is in top condition and looks as it had been well cared for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
