28 ga. loads

Am having a .50 cal rifle bored to 54/28 ga smooth bore. Any recommendations on where to start with shot loads for squirrel. Thanks in advance.

I've got a 28 gauge fowler. Have had luck using 60 grain Square loads using #6 shot. Same thing using #7.5 shot for rabbits.

Start with a true 28 gauge is 55 caliber At 55 caliber I shoot a .535 ball with a .015 patch lubed with about anything you want over 60 grains of 2f.
