Here's my ticket to the smoothbore world -- a Caywood Wilson Trade Rifle 28 ga.

I was at a trade fair a couple weeks ago and there was a guy selling caywood kits, one had the barrel set in the stock and really seemed to point nice. I am thinking one of these might be my next project. Seemed like it would make a nice light gun. I don't know what to think about not using a touch hole liner? They say the ignition is fast, one would never have to worry about threads corroding and such. flinch

I have had a couple of guns with no liners and they work fine,I like a 5/64 hole, it is what was the standard method when flintlocks were top of line technology.
