I’ve seen that you want to have 1 smooth side on the file. What’s the easiest way to remove the teeth on one side?
You need a very fine edge to cut the corners of the dovetail. Otherwise the end results will look like hell.Linisher and dremel also work.
Haven't tried yet (job for today) but I am about to test a diamond file out for the job.
Was wondering if anyone had tried covering the teeth with epoxy or even masking tape to stop it cutting.
I used a homemade file for years, and was very frustrated. Bought a safe side dovetail file from Brownells, and never looked back.
