.31 caliber revolvers

Limited by budget to reproduction guns, what is available?
Any company reproducing, now or in recent past, any .31 caliber revolvers besides Colts? Not that I have a problem with Colts, actually prefer them, but wondering what might be available.

A 6.5” barrel makes a piss-poor pocket pistol. Dont see how Taylor’s qualifies that.

I just posted the link, I have no idea how they come up with their designations. You'll have to ask them........

I think original Colt designations were that dragoons were horse pistols meant to ride in holsters on the saddle, 1851 and 1860 models were belt pistols, and the small frames were pocket pistols regardless of barrel length. Men's over coats had some deep pockets.

I love the Remington but I won't be buying a new one for $400+.
I don't want one of the Colts without a rammer. I'll see what turns up.

Well try and put a Walker in your pocket. That might change your mind. Also, pockets were bigger in the old days.

it is actually really easy to load the 1849 with out the loading lever
I don't find the lack of a loading lever on the Wells Fargo a problem at all.

I load mine assembled. More than enough room on the right side. I use a 6" x 1/4" wooden dowl to seat the ball. Not having a lever is not a hinderance at all.

.36 is over kill.

A .31 with six inch barrel is plenty.
