SOLD .32 Bedford County Percussion Rifle

Bedford County Percussion Rifle in .32 Cal. Needs stock repair. Has a 3/4" across 42-1/2" straight profile barrel that is a nice 8 groove with round bottom rifling. Twist rate is about one in 60-66" and the bore is in great shape. Brass mounted, engraving throughout with silver thumb piece, front sight and dogwood flower engraved inlay. Beautiful pierced patchbox. Very nicely figured maple stock. 14-1/4" LOP and weighs a light 7lbs 5oz. Signed "J Weaver 03" on top flat.

This rifle has haunted my cabinet for awhile and I just don't have the time to fix it. I bought it a couple years ago and it arrived damaged in shipping which was heartbreaking for such a beautiful execution of the Bedford County style. It's solid and stable as it sits so it wouldn't be too bad to repair and get back shooting. I'm hoping someone will rehabilitate this beauty. Because of the length it'll cost a fair amount to ship and that's included in the price.

The inletting and engraving are beautiful!
If only for the little oops in the stock, it would go for a WHOLE lot more.
