A friend of mine just picked up a used T/C .32 at a gun show - lucky duck!

He's going to the local gun show this Saturday and will pick ome up for me if he sees a .32 or .36 in good shape.

Lots of rules here in Canada on firearms and all sellers have to be registered and keep their guns stored under lock and key. there aren't even any gund for sale in the Walmart!

Spoke to the local gunsmith and he's looking into the cost of ordering a Traditions Crockett rifle for me (it will take 12-14 weeks - apparently there are only 2-3 sold every year in Ontario and Quebec. I'm so ashamed to be Canadian when I here things like that!)

zimmerstutzen,

If I find the guy that stole your CVA I will dress him in a squirrel suit and give you a call.

the guy that owns the shop (Barry Jensen, IIRC) is a very well respected gunsmith, locally. at one time he worked for Dlask Arms in Vancouver. i will check in with him (when finances allow) and see if i can get him to fit a GM .32 barrel to my Investams stock. or i might just buy a new Crockett from the local gun shop.

Daren,

Where in BC can you buy a Crockett over the counter and for how much? Finding one around here is like pulling teeth. The best price (and only supplier) I've gotten is $540 Canadian.

You don't have to keep them under lock and key! I keep my two bolt actions up on the wall, and store the bolts in a tool box when I'm out and about. I think restricted guns have to be locked though..

i have found two places locally that stock Traditions guns; although the Crockett would have to be ordered in.
International Shooting Sports, in Surrey. (six blocks from my house).
and
Wholesale Sports, in Langley. (about a fifteen minute drive).
i haven't gotten prices yet. MSRP is $469.

Thanks. I went to the Stittsville Shooting Range (just west of Ottawa) on Saturday and their sister company (Bowmac Gunpar Inc.) carries the .32 Crockett for $490. Now the hard part is to convince the wife to get one.
