Hey let us know what kind of help you get from Deer Creek. I only been to their store once and they seemed nice and helpful. Im looking for other people's experiences with them.

Got a .12 ga double myself. It shoots good with rd. balls as well as shot. The ultimate all around gun. Take anything from mice to moose.

Well... I called both DEER CREEK and UNION CREEK concerning a .36 Mowrey. Both places said they were EXTREMELY backed-up and would not possibly be able to fill an order untill
mid April. There is a $15 difference in price between the 2 suppliers with the shipping being the same.
Guess I put this purchase on the shelf fer awhile...
or I could order a Crockett .32 if they become available.
Oh yea....Deer Creek said that they usually only sell to dealers ( I am not) but they will also sell to an individual if ther is not a dealer in your neck of the woods.....
oh well.....I tried....

Speaking of .36 caliber rifles, I'm working on an old/new gun. The barrel dates to early 1800's and measures .375 inside diameter. A .38 ball is a tad too large, so I thinkk it's a .36. However, I can find neither .36 ball nor a bullet mold. Any suggestions? (So far i only checked out DGW)::
I'd hate to go through all this work and not find the proper ball to shoot. Do you think it's a .36? I'd apprecate any feedback.
Bill

Wanders, Midway USA in Columbia, Missouri has the Lee .350 mold. I ordered mine from there late last summer. They have a web site too but I don't recall the address. I'm sure a search would turn it up. Not terribly expensive either.

Hello West Virginia,I have a .36 calibre Pedersoli/cabelas Blue Ridge in flint.I had considered the .32 however selected the .36 since it had a bit more poke.I go after squirrels, cottontail, jackrabbits, turkey and the occasional coyote. With 20-25 grains of 3f Goex I take the small game,40 grains 3f for coyotes.I would like to purchase a .32 in percussion someday, for now however, I am very pleased w/ my .36 calibre Spitfire!
