By next fall, I'm buying a 36cal to hunt squirrels.
Help me to pick out a good one! Any suggestions?

I did alot of looking and decided on a Blue Ridge made by Pedersoli from Cabela's. Now I just have to wait until tax time to order it :cursing:

Check TOTW's web site frequently and watch for a 36. While most of their rifles are more expensive than production guns, more often than not the quality and resale value will be worth the added expense. The odds are the rifle will appreciate instead of depreciate like most production guns.

Swamp Rat...I don't mind puttig one together.

There is a big difference between "putting one together" and "building" one. Check out the Pedersoli Frontier rifle in .36 cal.

You won't save any money by building one of the factory kits. The only real reason to do it is because you enjoy it.

As for guns, the Seneca is an outstanding gun alright. They're getting hard to find though. Take a look at the Pedersoli's too. Cabelas has them on sale, or did. If you hurry, you can get a great price on one.
